Turkey Fry/LSU vs Alabama

When: November 7, 2009

Disclaimer: The frying process uses peanut oil.  If you or a family member has a peanut allergy, this may not be the event for you.

Instructions (What to bring)

• A COMPLETELY THAWED turkey, turkey breast, or pork roast**

• A pan to bring your selection home.

• Your favorite seasonings.

• Injection kit and sauce.

• Lawn Chairs.

• Beverages of your choice in a cooler.

• A covered dish to for everyone to enjoy. 

• Anything else you think you will need. 

** Please purchase your turkey, etc. a week before the event so it can be completely thawed.  Water makes the hot oil splash and can be a danger to the cook ... that's me.

Directions

From Midlothian Turnpike, Take Courthouse Road South.  Travel through three stop lights.  The fourth light is Luck's Lane.  Turn right onto Luck's and travel to the 4-way stop at Walton Bluff Parkway.  Turn right onto Walton Bluff Parkway, take the first left onto Cottage Mill Road and the first right onto Cottage Mill Terrace. 

If you take Courthouse Road North (from Hull Street), turn left at Luck's Lane.  Travel to the 4-way stop at Walton Bluff Parkway.  Turn right onto Walton Bluff Parkway, take the first left onto Cottage Mill Road and the first right onto Cottage Mill Terrace

From the West End, Take I64 to 288 South.  Exit 288 at Luck's Lane.  Turn left (east) at the light.  Proceed to the 4-way stop at the corner of Luck's Lane and Walton Bluff Parkway.  Turn left at the stop.  Take the first left onto Cottage Mill Road and the first right onto Cottage Mill Terrace.  Look for the LSU Flag at the mail box. 

From the Powhite Toll Road, Travel South to the 288/Midlothian Exit.  Stay in the right hand lane as you travel in the exit.  Turn Right at the light (there is a right turn lane onto Luck's Lane.  Do not go to the light).  Travel to the 4-way stop at Luck's lane and Walton Bluff Parkway.  Turn left at the stop sign.  Take the first left onto Cottage Mill Road and the first right onto Cottage Mill Terrace.  Look for the LSU Flag at the mail box.  

From Chesterfield (or anyplace South Or West),  Take 288 to the Powhite/Old Hundred Road/Luck's Lane Exit.  As soon as you pass the Old Hundred exit, move to the right lane for Luck's Lane.   Turn Right before the light (there is a right turn lane onto Luck's Lane.  Do not go to the light).  Travel to the 4-way stop at Luck's lane and Walton Bluff Parkway.  Turn left at the stop sign.  Take the first left onto Cottage Mill Road and the first right onto Cottage Mill Terrace.  Look for the LSU Flag at the mail box.
